Council Body and Prefecture

The council body of Luwero SS existed after the school establishment in 1966. It is currently headed by the president 2024 – 2025, Ssenkoni Jirus Mark. To the teachers, the patron is Mr. Mugisha David.
The council body is the parliament of the school. It has powers to implement rules and regulations to be followed by the students. Luwero SS council body consists of the president, Vice president, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, General Secretary, Deputy General Secretary, Publicity, Minister of Finance, Minister of School Affairs, Secretary for inter-school Affairs and class councilors etc.

On days like Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the school honorables of the council body who belong to O’Level put on blue long sleeved shirts and those in A’Level put on cream long sleeved shirts.

Ultimately, presidentship in high school is about more than titles or accolades; it’s about making a meaningful impact and growing as an individual. It provides a foundation for future success and helps shape the president of tomorrow. As students reflect on their experiences, they should recognize the significance of their contributions and the potential they have to influence and uplift those around them.

Sanitation and Health

Our smartness tells that the school is surrounded by dust bins for proper disposal of rubbish on the school compound and class rooms. Taps are almost every where, water tanks and boreholes for enough supply of water in school.
When it comes to health, this is valued a lot as it is manifested in meals for both teachers and students, sanitation and health care. It has a well equipped sick bay with a professional nurse who cares for the sick students at Luwero S.S and is ever available during emergencies.

Meals and Personal Welfare

Students are provided with the best dishes with all food nutrients required for the proper functioning of the body hence good health for reading books and concentration in class.
The school has authorized canteen attendants that provide required commodities for the students at school.

Security

Then school is well equipped with well trained security guards for both day and night shifts. The school is installed with 24/7 functioning CCTV cameras to ensure security and protection of students in the school.
It is also installed with fire extinguishers to cease fire in case of fire outbreak and smoke detectors in almost every building in the school.
