School Football (Soccer) – GENERAL
Football is the most loved, most watched sport in the school and I believe even in other schools in Uganda and World over. Luwero SS has put a lot of effort to boost the football team through organizing inter-class, inter-stream football competitions in the school. The school’s popularity today is partly attributed to its participation in regional and National football competitions in the space of three years now.
During the USSSA for 2025 under 20, our school emerged 34th position on the national level as it had won in the zonal level, inter-reginal level, District level, regional level, and finally National level.
The young and energetic players in the school team believe that come next year 2026, Luwero SS is destined to take the National Cup due to its readiness and lessons it has got from the recently concluded national championships. This shall be big enough to enjoy the East African participation and eventual champion. On the other hand, under 16 championships, participants are under intensive training aiming for the championship trophy without fear or favour.
